CEHRO is a Delhi based non-profit making autonomous body registered in March 2012 under 1860 Societies Act. We work with migrant children from Munirka Village and nearby slums. Migration of people from one geographical location to another has been rising, as in the five years, 2012 to 2016, an average of 9 million people migrated between states every year for either education or work. Migration has adverse effect on poor, especially children as their families struggle with lack of basic amenities like electricity, sanitation, healthy meal and water and hence the education takes a back seat. CEHRO works towards the better future of these children and the community by providing them access to better education, health and work Read More ...

There are very few moments in one’s life when you
come across someone who truly inspire you to view
the world differently. Surjeet has been one such
person for me. I was privileged to meet him during
my short stint at Teach India Programme at CEHRO
in 2015. Surjeet personally ensured that every
facility was available and if not, he made sure of
it in no time. His honest dedication to the cause
of education is contagious and so are the smiles
of the children he works with
The organization does everything in its capacity
to further the cause of education, which is not
limited to classroom learning, but other skill
training in a way that also makes childhood
fulfilling for the under-resourced children.
In the last five years, I have seen CEHRO grow and
widen its avenues with new activities, new
initiatives, new collaborations, and national
achievements, to name a few. There is no doubt,
that CEHRO will impact many more lives for better.
I hope the support it receives continues.
I would like to say that one thing I have learnt
in my brief experience with CEHRO is to be
uncompromising with fun and quality, especially
while educating children.
The true essence of selflessness reflects in the activities/causes that CEHRO picks up, acting as an enabler for creating a better society, and a better tomorrow. Right from working for health and education of underprivileged migrant children, to celebrating the shared birthdays, or simple acts of kindness like spending quality time with the children to understand their needs and requirements, and to see their faces light up with smiles. The initiatives taken by the CEHRO during pandemic are commendable. Surjeet also deserves the words of appreciation. Despite managing so many things at a time and working day and night he remain calm and polite. Everytime I meet him, his passion inspires me contribute my bit to the society. I’ve personally felt enriched mentally and spiritually through my association with the organization.
I've been associated with CEHRO (Centre for Education and Health Research Organization) India Ngo for more than five years. It has worked incredibly hard to uplift the weaker sections of society, especially women and slum-area children. The Ngo has constantly provided basic amenities such as health, education, food, clothing, etc. to more than thousands of kids. It has made financially sound more than hundreds of students who are their family's sole breadwinner. CEHRO India efforts during the Corona pandemic times are praiseworthy. For this Noble work, my heartfelt wishes to Surjeet sir, and hope you will carry forward this smile to a much larger section of society. As A. P.J Abdul Kalam has also said “Let us sacrifice our today so that our children can have a better tomorrow” suits you too CHERO India for your admirable work towards underprivileged section. Good luck to you.
This NGO is committed to the cause of deprived and destitutes through providing education as well as health related facilities. However, it doesn't restrict itself merely to classroom instructions but make attempts to give taste of reality of life through exposure of work-culture of itself and also of various corporates. Amidst the pandemic when even the Government agencies were not able to reach to the needful, NGO with the help of its committed network reached to them which itself is the testimony of its commitments for upliftment of larger section of the society.
