Explore the milestones, media spotlights, and continuous growth of CEHRO INDIA from our inception to our present-day impact.
The NGO was officially registered and founded in Munirka Village, Delhi. We started in a small room with just 50 underprivileged and migrant children, focusing on basic education and mentorship.
Partnered with the Teach India program (a Times of India CSR initiative). This brought in corporate visibility as we began providing 100-day spoken English and employability training to marginalized youth, helping them secure entry-level jobs.
Launched our highly praised Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program. We gained recognition for conducting workshops and distributing sanitary napkins to fight the stigma surrounding women's health in local slums.
Our on-the-ground network became crucial during the COVID-19 lockdowns. We were highlighted by corporate partners and government officials for mass-distributing meals, immunity boosters, and hygiene kits when mainstream supply chains couldn't reach the slums.
Officially inaugurated a massive women's empowerment project aimed at training 500 widows and single women in tailoring. The project provided them with sewing machines to help them achieve financial independence.
Digital media platform NGOFeed published a dedicated feature titled "CEHRO NGO Success Story", officially documenting our 10-year journey of expanding from 50 kids to supporting over 3,000 children.
Scaled our local impact with heavily attended community events, such as a 200-child World Bicycle Day race, regular health drives, and the "Sunday Funday" summer nutrition distributions, all widely documented in our annual public reports.
